Warm Weather Wear
From the inception of Tellason back in 2008 sitting in Tony's living room, we have put a ton of minerals into the collaborative nature of building something interesting and full of natural authenticity. One cannot often pull this off on your own. Tony's relationship with Cone Mills was huge. He knew them in a previous denim life and had burned zero bridges with them, which worked to our advantage. One call to the SF sales rep and another call to the accounting department in Greensboro and bam, we were in business.
The same goes for many of our products like our Gustave jean and our longtime pal, Brian Awitan's perspective about that fit and why it clicks. Todd Blubaugh offered similar, meaningful bits for the Blubaugh jean and the Blubaugh jacket. Steve, from Barnes & Moore in Birmingham, England knows more than most about proper leather and hardware and we are so pleased that he is in our court!
The beginnings of our coverall jackets go back to a collaboration with Jay Alaimo and his shop, Smith & Butler in Brooklyn. Jay had some very clever ideas about a workwear jacket with unusual pockets that looked cool, and served a purpose. The deep dish pocket on the left stands out and will handle a rolled up newspaper, that bottle of wine, or a set of keys with ease. We are thankful to everyone who gave us their two cents and let us run with it, that is for sure.
Now, for the first time in 16 years, we cut our coverall jacket using our proprietary 14.75 oz. selvedge denim from Kaihara and want to offer this up as our "Item of the Week". Yours this week with a 20% discount.
Thanks ya'll and respect to those who helped us along the way,
Tony Patella
