Tony and I pack all the orders. We have had incredible interns and find it was too much side eyeing towards them checking to see if they packed it up just like we would do. They probably did, but our hovering gobbled up a lot of time, so we do it all now.

For me, I walk the 15 steps over to the John Graham Mellor aisle when it is time to pack some up, and I have the unshakeable satisfaction of how we made something 16 years ago that still rings true today. Maybe the crew at WD-40 feel the same way. Perhaps the men and women at Fratelli Beretta (oldest Italian family-owned charcuterie since 1812) enjoy that long standing good energy when they pack up their prosciutto.

This jean of ours was the first thing we ever made and dang, putting them on today like I did then, reminds me of all the sweat we put into making one thing well.
