Fit Guide

A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

My first car was a 1968 VW Bug. It cost me $2,000 in 1981 and it was in perfect condition. I bussed tables to pay for it and waxed that thing so much I am surprised there was any paint left on it. My first surfboard cost me $10 from a garage sale down the street in 1979 and my only regret is that I don't have that South Shore 7' single fin named the "Purple People Eater" anymore.

Tony and I started this Tellason brand with our first and only jean called the John Graham Mellor and a couple of years later, we whipped up our first shirt called the Topper. Twelve years later, we have plenty of great memories in this shirt and have friends around like Matt Clark who has been putting this gem to task building homes around here since our first cut.

There is something to be said about making something for the first time and looking way down the road knowing it was on point and classic enough to not spend one minute trying to "update" to whatever direction the wind is blowing.

With that said, we are stocked and ready to offer up our classic Topper shirt.

Enjoy the ride and thanks for listening,
Tony Patella

    The perfect shirt

The denim Topper is by far the best fitting shirt I've ever owned. I also own the camo Topper and it too fits like a dream. The quality of material is top notch and the fit and length is on point. The shirt fits like a second skin, moving with you as go about your daily business. I would definitely recommend the Topper.

    Great shirt

I had been eyeballin Tellason's raw denim shirts for a while...bummed I missed out on the Clampdown in denim, but this Topper is no dissapointment. It is nice and light, making it great for the warm weather. I'm 6'1, 210, athletic build and the XL is perfect for me. The fit, construction, fabric, stitching, hardware, pockets, etc. are all top notch and the length is perfect for leaving untucked. Can't wait to wear this thing threadbare...that will take several years I imagine. Great looking, highest quality, zero regrets and worth every penny. Get one

I have never seen a more detailed and versatile denim shirt. Love at first try-on at Iron and Resin in SF. Purchased online from Tellason next payday and most happy I did. Great garment for the long haul.

Love the style and look. Caution, it fits snug but does stretching to fit like a good pair of jeans. I'm 6'2" 220 and am on the outside of fitting an xl

I tried to kill it. But it won't die.

I bought this shirt when it first came out. Must be 4-5 years now. I can't remember. I proposed to my wife in this shirt. Best god damned cloth I've ever put on my back. I have a closet full of denim shirts, but this is the one that gets worn 4 days a week year round. Yesterday I blew the elbow out while layering on a sweater. Terribly depressed about it. Time to save up for a new one. Also to fellow customers, the canvas clampdowns consistently have shorter sleeves and torsos.. Size up from your topper.

I need to break in the shirt a bit better but this is the nicest denim shirt I've ever owned. Just disappointed in the weather right now because with the weight I can't wear it out right now too much. I'd give it a solid five but I've never worn a perfect shirt before.
