Always have bought Levi’s denim over shirts that were too heavy, ill-fitted, and not quite what I was hoping for. Now with my Tellason denim shirt I’ve got a great supple and comfortable over shirt that I can also just wear as a shirt. I can’t wait for the Fall!
I purchased this Topper - Denim shirt during Tellason's 4th of July sale. I wasn't sure on sizing and went with a large, but wrote a note inquiring. To my surprise, Pete himself called me (so kind!) and discussed with me. I stayed with the large, but upon receipt, it was very long and baggy on me. Perhaps this was due to my short torso for my height? I asked Pete if I could swap for a medium, and he kindly obliged. The medium arrived and fits me much better (doesn't sit way past my bottom) but is still comfortable in the back and shoulders. The shirt feels solid and will work well as an overshirt unbuttoned or tucked in. I'm excited for it to soften up and develop some fades. I am around 5'8" and maybe 160-170 pounds, but as I said, have longer legs for my height. For those who aren't tall/have a short torso, I think the large would be a bit too long. Hope this helps. This is my second item from Tellason (also bought a dyed coverall jacket) and I will continue to support them. Love their products and their weekly writings and personal touches.
Excellent quality as expected from Tellason. Went with XL. Usually order a L. Definitely like the style of this shirt a little bigger.
I'm a 43R; 5'10", 185, muscular 56 yr old. I usually prefer XL t-shirts and polos, though some are too roomy, and some Ls occasionally fit nicely without being too snug. This Denin Topper XL is a trim fit athletic cut on me without being tight -- an L would have been too small.
Terrific and versatile shirt with impeccable fit. 6'1", 210 lbs. wearing a sz L. Gonna be wearing this sucker a good long while.
I can’t say why I want d a true denim shirt, but now that I own this, I do not want to live without it. This shirt is awesome, and I must say, I look darn good in it too! Great shirt and love the feel of it!
I would give this shirt six stars if I could. It is perfectly weighted for summer evenings, the craftsmanship is outstanding, and it feels like running into an old friend. Exceeds expectations for sure! I am 5'8, 205 or so, and bigger in the shoulders and chest. The XL is perfect. Could not be happier and looking forward to something else for the New England fall.
