The Tellason Stock Jean Jacket is made in San Francisco, California from 14 oz. non-selvedge sanforized Cone Mills denim.  Two exterior side pockets, two chest pockets and two interior pockets.  Fit Guide

A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

"Hey Tony, hey Pete. Why the hell is this Tellason Stock jacket so much less than your selvedge jean jacket?" We get that now and then. The answer is a quick one and not fancy.

Selvedge fabric from the U.S. back in the day, and now Japan, costs plenty. With that, you get great cotton, used to make great yarn, used to make great fabric on an old, old machine from a long time ago, that really gets humming once you turn the power on.

Our "non-selvedge" fabric is all the way fantastic, just made differently on a new machine that can produce at a high level. It is less expensive, and lucky for us, is still beautiful from beginning to end. You might not get that coveted selvedge stripe but man, you pretty much get everything else a good denim jacket should offer.

Our Tellason Stock Jean Jacket is still cut and sewn in San Francisco using high grade, double ring spun denim, from Cone Mills and we are stocked and ready to offer this to you.

Enjoy the ride and thanks for your support,

Tony Patella

    Tellason Stock Jean Jacket

Very happy with this. It does run small in my opinion. I am 5'10", 170 and I ordered the large. Wish I had ordered the XL. I grew up with jean jackets and am accustomed to treating them in a manner consistent with what they were designed for - not babying them and washing and drying them and not babying them but I am going to have to wash this one cold and let it line dry or I fear it won't fit me any more. Very high quality denim and well made. Happy to have found it as well as the blanket lined version which I ordered in the XL.

    Another Home Run

Fantastic jacket. Rock solid construction and I really like the little bit of extra length. One observation -- compared to the Kaihara denim in two pairs of Tellason jeans I have (Ankara and Blubaugh), this Cone Mills denim really turns the water blue on a first cold soak. So, you definitely want to give this jacket a long soak before you get it near any light upholstery.

    Tellason Stock Denim Jacket

Nicely manifactured with great fit and solid denim fabric, I am in between XL and XXL, sp for this piece I was suggested to go for an XXL, which was a tiny bit to large, but aftera gentle machine wash and air drying the jacket fits like custom made!

    Solid and Classic

My favorite Jacket was a Levi's type 2 but it was lost a few years back. I own a LC King unlined raw denim barn jacket (L) and it's great. This will certainly be my new favorite western jean jacket, it's also the only one I own now. It's ticks every box with the heavy denim, 6 pockets, great hardware and classic structure. I wear Large and XL when I purchase more slim cut jackets. I'm a 40 waist and 42 chest about 190 currently. I'd originally ordered the XL and Tellason recommended XXL based on my 40 waist in Ankara jeans. I took the advice and although I might have just squeezed into the XL I'd probably not be able to layer even a flannel. This jacket fits me like a nicely cut regular fit in XXL. I wear a 48 in Baracuta Classic Harrington if that helps. I'm proud of this jacket, it's perfect.

    Tellason Stock Jean Jacket

I recently was looking for a new denim jacket and picked up both a Tellason Stock jacket and a Levi's Engineered Jeans jacket. I returned the LEJ jacket. While a heavier material, the Tellason also felt better constructed, had internal pockets and is made in the USA. I feel great on all fronts. The biggest difference, too, is I feel like as this jacket wears in, it'll be fully mine and formed to me. I look forward to having this jacket for years.
