The Tellason Stock Jean Jacket is made in San Francisco, California from 14 oz. non-selvedge sanforized Cone Mills denim.  Two exterior side pockets, two chest pockets and two interior pockets.  Fit Guide

A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

"Hey Tony, hey Pete. Why the hell is this Tellason Stock jacket so much less than your selvedge jean jacket?" We get that now and then. The answer is a quick one and not fancy.

Selvedge fabric from the U.S. back in the day, and now Japan, costs plenty. With that, you get great cotton, used to make great yarn, used to make great fabric on an old, old machine from a long time ago, that really gets humming once you turn the power on.

Our "non-selvedge" fabric is all the way fantastic, just made differently on a new machine that can produce at a high level. It is less expensive, and lucky for us, is still beautiful from beginning to end. You might not get that coveted selvedge stripe but man, you pretty much get everything else a good denim jacket should offer.

Our Tellason Stock Jean Jacket is still cut and sewn in San Francisco using high grade, double ring spun denim, from Cone Mills and we are stocked and ready to offer this to you.

Enjoy the ride and thanks for your support,

Tony Patella

180#; 6'0" = L. Default jacket is 42. going M in tshirts which is usually 38-40 is often too tight. M-L is what I usually want. Shirt is often: 35 sleeve, 16/16.5 neck. This jacket is *perfect* size to the body w/o being grippy. This jacket works well over light to medium long-sleeved garment w/o being too baggy over just a tshirt. Great sleeve length and neck over a shirt/ light sweater. The length pre-wash from delivery is excellent. I will machine wash eventually but won't machine dry. General fit and reference with Tellason is around Ankara which is 90% great. (Wish: uppermost thigh on Ankara could be larger diameter. LOVE a Detroit Denim Hockey 33W for reference on this particular dimension.) Details of buttons w/ copper, side pockets, and gussets buttons are excellent. Each of these features is somehow a +$feature on other brands. I see no need or real display platform for a selvedge version of this. (FYI, I have 4 other denim jackets - for ref not brag and see no reason for anything but this style/cut/config.) What would I add? (Side pockets are already there!!) I would LOVE this cut/level in a heavy fabric. This is 14oz. A 16.5oz as is available in jeans would be excellent. Again: no need (for me) at all in a selvedge version of the Tellason STOCK version of the jacket.

Amazing jacket at wallet friendly price.

I mainly purchased this pair as opposed to the selvedge model due to the price difference. Now I’m loving the jacket even more for it being 14 oz. which I think is perfect. It’s comfortable to wear right away but has more heft than I assume 12.5 oz. would have. It fits great but is slightly roomy in the sleeves but that’s okay. My measurements are ~ 5’10” (1.78m) tall and ~ 154 lbs (70kg) in weight. I ordered a size medium.

    awesome jacket

I am super happy with both the customer service and this jacket. I am 5’ 8”, 150lbs. I wear a 38 suit jacket and almost all of my jackets are sized small. I ordered a small jacket but based on the sizing chart I had my doubts so I emailed customer service and Pete informed me that I was a medium and will ship that instead. Well, Pete was right! The jacket fits great, not too loose but not too tight. I usually wear a hoodie underneath and it’s perfect. I think the length is just right too, it’s not too short. The quality is great, you really can’t beat it for the price, considering it is made in America. I love that it has interior pockets and the stitching is top notch. I’ve already given it a quick wash bc I prefer a softer feel. It has quickly became my favorite jacket.

    Excellent value raw denim jacket

I'm between a large and a extra large, I decided to go with the xl and I definitely made the right choice. The jacket is a good weight at 14 Oz but not so heavy it will be too warm as I mainly will be wearing it in the warmer months. In the winter I would wear it under a heavier waterproof as an extra layer. It feels well constructed and should fade nicely. I've gave it 4stars rather than 5 as I've only just got it and time will tell if it is solid as I think it is. The 2 main reasons I bought this jacket is that unlike many other rawdenim jackets it has handpockets and no handpockets are a deal breaker for me. The other being it is reasonabley priced. The fact it is not selvage was irrelevant. Andrew. .
