I bought these in August of 2023 as an alternative to my blue jeans. Although I literally never wore black jeans in my life, I was enamored by how beautiful a good black pair looks when worn-in--that classic, beat up look that reminds me of what punk bands would wear back in the day. At first, these jeans started out like any other pair of raw denim: stiffer and not super textured, but ready to develop a lot of character. I have to admit that since black denim fades a LOT slower than indigo dyed, I found it took a while before these really started to fade and develop some really nice texture. Tbh I didn't wear these as much at first because the lack of character made these pants look really plain, especially since they were all black. But once they started to fade and get more lived-in, I fell in LOVE with them. I probably have a good 200 wears in them since I purchased them and they only just developed their first hole, a little one at the top of the right back pocket above the inside lining caused by the corner of my phone pushing into it whenever I bend down. I hope that one day, they become a REAL beat up pair, with some nice ripped knees and holes in the pockets. I think it'd be really cool to eventually earn all of that. But these are the quintessential black pair of jeans and I couldn't recommend them enough. I hope that one day, we can see this in the "Fredy" cut, as I have an affinity towards high-rise jeans now. If you're considering this cut, I highly recommend it!
Got a pair waist size 34, fits perfectly. Got them hemmed at a local tailor and started breaking them in the next day. Incredibly comfortable, they immediately look amazing. Couldn’t be happier with them.
Love these more than the Ankara in black. Love the fit, love the black leather tag. I got big thighs so finding jeans that fit and also look good is really hard. Tellason got it right.
