A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

Sometimes I say things like, "gotta be from France" if I see a clip of a guy from 1979 shredding on a mono ski, looking fabulous in the Cariboos while making powder turns look easy.

The same could be said about Dutch dudes and denim. When we first got things clicking at Tellason, we had a few stacks of jeans at Tenue de NÎmes in Amsterdam. They knew their stuff and took us in as a new brand from California who really gave a damn. Tony saw them a year later in NYC and was stoked to have one of the lads wearing our jeans, beat down and... tapered?

Back then, we had our John Graham Mellor as our only pride and joy. Apparently, many of these Dutch guys were buying our slim straight leg JGM's and whipping on over to their tailor to get them pegged (tapered). That was plenty for us to gnaw on to add an additional fit, this time with a tapered leg. Our pattern lady went to work and ding dong, the Ladbroke Grove was born. This slim-fit beauty still holds water and is always a top seller for us, year after year.

We are gassed up with our 14.75 oz. selvedge and ready to offer this to you.

Thanks to all of you for making Tellason tick!

    The Best Selvedge Jeans.

My new favorite pair of jeans. Tellason's quality is outstanding. This is the perfect fit. Slim, with just the right amount of tapering. The 14.75 oz. denim is tough, but very flexible and perfect for all kinds of weather. If you're looking for versatile jeans, highly recommend the Ladbroke Grove Slim Tapered Selvedge.

    Comfy, great quality, nice look.

I'm new to premium selvedge denim, but after editing 5 pairs of lousy jeans from my wardrobe, I figured it was time to see what the fuss was about. I'm very happy with my purchase thus far. The fit is very good, I was worried about this most with online shopping, I'm 5', 7", 145 lbs. and ordered a 31. I washed and machine dried my jeans out of the package, I know, sacrilidge, but I wanted to shrink them 'tight' and wear them to fit. I'm also not such a fan of the waxy look of raw denim, I like the very dark blue color and want the fade to evolve with use, but I also wanted a slightly broken in feel to the fabric. Not sure if I'm going to make it 6-8 months between laundry, either, but I'm optimistic that these will wear well. Next pair, I may try the 16.5 weight. One other comment, I get that US made products have to cost more to support high quality local (ish) stuff, but some of Tellasons other prices seem so far out of whack that it makes me wonder what the 'real' cost of my Ladbroke Groves really is. I mean how much of the $220 goes to supporting an overzealous profit margin or all that free shipping (that I'm unlikely to capitalize on? Pondering a $80 scarf and $30 plain white T-shirt has me wondering. I'd be more inclined to pick up a second pair tell a friend at $180. Just some honest feedback, guys, but you do make a solid pair of jeans. Thanks.

These jeans are great quality and fit. Breaking in super nice and don't feel as heavy as I thought they would be. These are not skinny, but just right.

    A perfect balance

Usually if I size for my waist the thighs are too tight or the leg opening is huge. These are perfect for me, just enough room in thigh, rise is not constricting but not too long. A slim modern leg opening. I got the 14.75oz. You already know cone denim. Feels substantial but comfortable. Construction is great. Not a stitch out of place, Strong buttons, secure pocket bags, measurements on point.

Top notch construction and detail. Best fitting jeans I've ever worn. I would highly recommend trying this brand out. You'll never turn back.

Superior Quality Denim - Excellent Customer Service

Posted by Nate Archibald on 31st Mar 2015

There are so many reasons why I continue to buy Tellason Denim. The Ladbroke Grove is my 4th pair and the only reason I needed a 4th pair was because I have lost a lot of weight and my previous 3 pairs of varying cuts and sizes just didn't fit anymore. I have enjoyed the Ankara's for a nice relaxed fit, and JGM's for a slimmer fit, but as a much healthier version of myself I can say with certainty that the Ladbroke Groves are awesome for someone that wants a well fitting jean, but doesn't want the Super tight Skinny Jean look. The Ladbroke's fit really nicely but still give you a lot of comfort while sitting down with a large phone in your front pocket. The 14.75 oz denim is superior and I love the way Tellason denim smells when they first arrive. You don't need to wash them, and the enjoyment/satisfaction you get from wearing quality denim is unrivaled by any other item of clothing in your wardrobe because you can wear Tellason every day of the week and Denim is socially acceptable in almost any setting.

    one week review

Posted by Portland, OR on 12th Nov 2014

I found Tellason after I had two pairs of APC jeans that had blown out the hip seam (worse in the larger and less worn size!). For the most part I liked everything else, but for $190 I would expect better durability after 1 year and 3 washes. Almost all of my previous jeans have lasted longer. After one week wearing my Tellason's I can see obvious differences in quality. I appreciate the option of denim weight at no extra cost, which gave me a further comparison between Tellason & APC. I chose 14.5 oz which is great for cooler weather, and will test the durability over time. I'm also happy to support American businesses that make quality products. For every year these last me, I'll buy another!

Tellason junkie. Wear it long, wear it hard., wear it proud, and it will wear you well.
