This is my second pair of JGM. The fit is considered a slim straight but the Great thing is that the jeans are not slim tight. The ones I received the denim material is from Japan. It is a different shade then the White Oak Cone denim from my Sheffield’s but I like the look of the indigo just as well. The jeans are of superior quality and I like the feel and weight of the 16oz. The company has very good customer service and get back to you right away. The free shipping and returns are a plus since I do feel the jean sizes are irregular and one 35 did not fit like another 35. They also offer a free hem which I’ve used in the past. The only minor detail was that I had to send the jeans back for a re-hem this time since one leg was left longer than the other. I can notice the previous stitch line on the material after the repair but I guess is not that bad.
I bought my first pair of Teleson jeans in 2009 at UnionMade in San Francisco -- back when Telleson had only one style -- and it didn't even have a name, but is what became the JGM. Tony and Pete were in the store, but I opted not to meet them, not realizing this would be my jean of choice for the next ten years (and hopefully more). I'm the type of loyal consumer ,who will buy the same thing over and over again, until something goes wrong. Like Levi's 501's -- they changed the cut, but not the number, and they no longer fit the same. I forget what I was wearing in the late aughts, but I tried on the Telleson jeans. They fit perfect, and they cut hasn't changed one bit. A year ago I bought the lighter weight 12.5 oz, and was pleasantly surprised. I'm trying out the new 10.5 oz. now. I love breaking in my own jeans from raw denim, I wash them only when absolutely necessary, and I hope Telleson never goes out of business!
I’m an old dude pushing fifty. Since I was in high school I was a Levi’s 501 guy. I knew what size to get, how to wash them, wear the bejesus out of them, and just before they were done - cutoffs. Then they stopped making them in the US. The quality went down hill and the fit varied from the Haitian made to the Mexican. I started paying real dough for the historic reissues. Too fancy and quality not worth the money. I heard good things about Tellason but being old, I question hipsters making “quality” boutiquey stuff. I want consistency, sustainability, and no fussiness. I bought a used pair of Tellasons in my size used off eBay for cheap. Already the best jeans I’ve worn in years - great fit, top notch quality. So I stepped up to some new ones in the thickest denim I could get so they’d last, and in the cut named after Joe Strummer. Ordering was simple, they came fast with no bullshit, we are the fanciest and best, marketing. They will last, fit, wear well, they are more environmentally responsible than other jeans. I’m sold! Stick around for another fifty years, I’ll try to as well, and I’ll Keep happily wearing them. Thank you!
Bought this same pair again since I wasn’t sure how much longer the 16.5 oz cone denim would be in stock. This fabric is awesome and I think the JGM cut is perfect. These jeans fade really well too. Honestly my favorite jeans.
I am 6' 180lbs. trim build. Wear size 32 X 34 in Carhartt Wear size 31 X 34 in Dearborn and DSTLD I needed to order a size 33 from Tellason and cuff the pant legs... Love these pants!
It is a stretch to say a $230.00 pair of jeans is a bargain but I bought 2 pair of Tellason in 2012. I wore those jeans 6 days a week for almost five years. These jeans last. I tried another US made brand for half the price and they did not last a year. Look $230 is a lot to pay for jeans, but if made in the USA means something to you and you are looking for a quality product that lasts, these are your jeans. I just bought two more pair. See you again in 2023 Tellason.
These are my third pair of Tellason jeans and I want to love them but they are way too baggy. I ordered the same size I usually wear in Tellasons and they were so tight I couldn't even close the fly. So I ordered the next size up, still too tight! I ordered another next larger size jean I've ever worn before because I didn't want to do the go around again. Basically got tired of the back and forth and my local dealer doesn't carry this model. So now I've sucked it up and been wearing jeans that sag which looks terrible. I highly recommend only buying these jeans in person since the sizing is so off.
Amazing fit, excellent craftsmanship and quality, and just all around perfect jeans! I have four pair for what it's worth.
The quality of the denim, the fit, and workmanship are the best I've seen.
