I'm always on the lookout for companies which manufacture and source [as many] materials as they can domestically. This, paired with the quality of the genes I've ordered make for a very satisfied customer. The staff offer excellent communication when troubleshooting some issues, delivered a great pair of genes, and though expensive, I feel as-though these jeans are well-worth it. I will absolutely buy from Tellason again in the future!
Bought the exact same pair of jeans I did seven years ago. Really cool to see them side-by-side. Looking forward to another great seven (or more) years!
Best jeans period. Fit perfect
These are my first pair of JGM. I have a pair Ankara in black 13.5oz. and I really like them, but I wanted a pair that we're slimmer but still straight leg. I usually wear a 31"-32" waist. I got the 32" based on a measurement of an old pair of Levi's I love. I haven't washed yet, only have had them for about a week. The slim/straight leg opening is perfect. But it's a bit loose around the waist, but that's because of the low rise, I suppose, which is lower than I'm used to. In fact, I wanted the Blubaugh for the slim/straight fit but having a higher rise fit. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size at the time. Overall, these are great jeans. 4/5. Now to break them in!
These are very well made, simple with no BS. With the heavier denim than I am used to I expected them to feel rough but that’s not the case. Customer service was excellent making returning easier for the correct size and the hand written Thank you cards from Tony and Pete were nice. They care about what they do.
Superb finish. I took a 16.5Oz, because there was no more Japanese black in 13.5Oz for my size 34. The best cut for my body is really the John Graham mellor. I've heard of a 19Oz ... if that's right, I can't wait to see it. Very happy to have had a handwritten card by Pete Searson. Thank Tellason
Superb finish. Japanese denim is very beautiful. The best cut for my body. I've heard of a 19Oz ... if that's true, I can't wait to see that. Thank Tellason
The fit on these jeans is incredible, and if you're familiar with raw denim, these are certainly the highest quality whether you end up with American or Japanese denim. Even after several washes (sometimes you really have to wash them...) over years of use, these maintain their dye and fit perfectly. I suggest sitting these in a cold-water bathtub for an hour when you first get them. Alterations process is simple and very well-done.
I have a few other pairs of Tellason Jeans in various weights. I decided to pick up a pair of 16.5oz and have mostly worn them while riding so far. They are heavy enough to keep me warm on a crisp morning but still comfortable to wear all day
