I have four pairs of Raw Denim. These are one of my favorites. Awesome quality, denim color and texture are unique. Love my Tellasons! Do yourself a favor and buy a pair! You won't regret it. The hand written thank you was a pleasant surprise! Nice touch guys/gals. Keep up the great work.
This was my first venture into raw denim jeans. After a lot of research, I decided to try a pair of Tellason JGM, and I am so glad I did. Upon first examination of the jeans, it was clear the exceptional attention to detail, quality of material, and the pride with which the garment was crafted. The personal note was a delightful surprise as well. The fit was perfect and after a few tries, I was able to find the right length and cuff. These are now my favorite jeans that I wear as often as I could, and I will definitely be buying another pair when I can afford to.
This is my 4th pair of Tellason jeans, 3rd JGM, and 2nd in the 14.75oz. I'm 5'7 150lbs and the fit is perfect, went for a 31. They do fit snug in the crotch for a day or two, but they stretch out nicely. My last pair I got was a 32 and the combo of losing a bit of weight and stretching out, they became a touch too loose.... still my favorite pair though. Perfect front and low rise for my body type. The thing that I LOVE about this company is the customer service. Free hems, and excellent communication. A hand written Thank You note is also a nice touch. Not to mention that if you get a crotch blowout, they repair those too for a very nominal fee. Tellason puts together an amazing product.... Well done guys, well done.
When I opened up the package containing my jeans I knew right away that I was opening up some quality denim. I have owned numerous pairs of raw denim jeans and none have come close to the quality of craftsmanship as these jeans. I would recommend these jeans to anyone looking for true, quality-built raw denims. Disclaimer: I typically sport a waist size of 32 and the 32 size in these jeans was too small for me. I returned them for a size 34 which fit well.
Instead of reviewing the brand new pair of jeans I bought (which I love) , you will hear about the exact same pair of jeans which I bought two years ago, 14.75 John Grahm Mellors. Over the two year period I owned these jeans they were the only pair I wore. During that time I photographed weddings, built a 73 Yamaha RD350 cafe racer, 65 Olds 442, 38 Plymouth panel wagon and various other classics. Grinding metal and welding didn't phase these jeans. I also met my wife and took her out on dates, looking very dapper in this well fitting denim. Over time they formed to my body perfectly, held their color well and show little signs of wear, so when it came time to expand my wardrobe I couldn't help but buy the same exact thing.
Bought a pair of JGM back in April 14 and have been more than satisfied, so much so that I have just invested in a second pair. I wanted a longer leg this time round so emailed the site for guidance. The response was quick and really helpful, and I would just like to say thanks again to Tony for sorting out the 37" inseams. The jeans have arrived and are perfect! This is all round quality boys and girls, and I seriously recommend you invest in some proper American denim.
I am 6'5" 200 lbs and the 33's are snug when they arrive but perfect once they break it. As with all raw denim, they have been stiff for a few days, but I am really happy with the fit and feel already. I have no doubt that these are going to hold up for a long time and be my go-to pair for a while. Would buy Tellason again.
