Chest pockets need to be larger. To short in arms and body length. Other than that, its an awesome jacket just doesn't fit me.
No surprises here. Classic styling, great construction, great fit. I loved the selvedge lines keeping the interior clean.

Wondering why I waited so long. As a Union Iron Worker who goes to the ends of the Earth to buy American, I'd been looking for a domestically made denim jacket for years. I'd all but abandoned the search when it was clear every one of the old names had moved overseas. I'd come across Tellason years ago, but couldn't remember ever buying a denim jacket for anywhere near what they were asking. I put them on the chic denim pile and kept looking elsewhere. I was mistaken. Though the fabric is made in Japan, the Japanese have done what they do with most things they adopt from us – improved upon it. The folks in San Francisco have then built a garment that feels tougher than any denim jacket I can recall going back to the 70's. The buttons and rivets are far more stout than the other guys used to use. The inside pockets, which, back in the day, were just white cotton fabric (identical to the inside of blue jeans pants pockets), and were only tacked just enough to keep them in place, are now the same denim as the rest of the jacket, and fully sewn. They are true pockets that aren't going to lose you whatever you put in them. I'm 5'-9" and 170lbs. 38" chest. Proportionally, I am more leg than torso, and was a little concerned that Tellason have fashioned this jacket a little longer than is traditional. I also felt I was on the fence between a small and medium since I wanted a snug fit. I received an email response the same day, and the size recommendation was spot on. The jacket was still on it's way to me when I noticed it had gone on sale. Again, I got a reply the same day, and a refund of the difference. I appreciate that this company is making a fine product not only in America, but in San Francisco. Their customer service has won them a new loyal customer. This jacket will see use on the job site, and I am looking forward to enjoying it for years.
Although I returned the jacket, I thought the quality of the jacket was good. The jacket was too small and I could have gotten a size bigger, but I found another jacket of a different material I liked better elsewhere, but I would recommend this jacket to someone who is looking for a nice quality Denim jacket.
...but I'm going to wear it nonetheless. I couldn't be happier with it. First, it fits me like a glove. I ordered the Large, and I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 180 pounds. Enough room to wear a thick flannel with undershirt underneath, and great with just a t-shirt. Stiffness I love with raw denim, but not too stiff. Color is perfect, buttons are solid, length is on point. I'm a married father of four, and this jacket brings my cool factor up several notches. Well done, Gentlemen!
I waited a few months for this jacket to be in stock. It was worth the wait. You already know you're going to get premium quality denim with Tellason. But it was they're service that stood out even more. I ordered a medium as that's what I wear in almost everything. The jacket arrived in a few days and was a pretty tight fit. I'm 5'10 and about 167lbs. I'm little broader than average with a 6'3" wingspan. I contacted Pete and he replied and agreed to send out a large right away to compare. Large arrived in 3 business days and fit is pretty spot on. You're not going to regret picking one of these up. Just pay close attention to the sizing! Thanks!
I dragged my heels making this purchase, but now that I have it in hand, I have to say that it absolutely exceeded every single expectation that I had! Not only that, it has grossly raised the bar so that other denim items I have look like absolute trash by comparison. The material is substantial, but not unpleasantly stiff. The color is the ideal shade of blue, and the hardware feels tough as nails. I travel for work very often, and in fact received the jacket in Afghanistan, so I don't have the luxury of going easy on my clothing. This jacket, I am sure, will be with me a very long time. Best part, made in the USA. These guys absolutely earned and will keep my business. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
