Mid rise seems like a high rise to me.
Stiff to begin with, these really soften up and develop nice character quickly. Very comfortable and after they gently loosen up, they don’t get all saggy during the day. The shape holds well, wear after wear. Very dark indigo with a nice higher mid rise. My 29s fit perfectly and are 30.5 actual waist. Exceptional customer service. I have 2 of the lightweight Elgins, 2 of the mid weights, and I’m going to buy the heavyweight when the 29 is in stock. I can wear jeans to work, and yeah it’s nothing but Elgins. Just relentless Elgins. The best cut, the best denim.
Perfect fit, great material and fast delivery to Germany- Thanks a lot, Guys!
These are really excellent quality. The fit is comfortably snug, with a nice higher rise. They are pretty crispy and coarse right out of the box, but it’s amazing what a single cold rinse, hang dry, and a few hours of wear can do. They soften up, little by little, with immediate fear of knee honeycombs. Beautiful Kaihara denim, and made in San Fran, which warms my heart. I love em. I actually bought two pairs of the 12.5 and two of the 14.75 in the Elgin, because I loved the cut so,much. The lighter ones have a slightly grayish, beautiful tint to them, so not dark blue. The 14.75s are more blue, and a bit darker. I would advise ordering one size down from your normal waist size. I usually go 30, but the 29s are perfect, and they gently give up to an inch in the waist with wear. Gorgeous denim, love em.
I bought a pair of the Elgin 12.5 oz from a shop (Tabor) that said these jeans were awesome. They were my second pair of raw denim and they quickly became a game changer for me. The mid-rise fit is fantastic and really sets them apart from other jeans I have tried. Also, the Tellason brand really comes through in these jeans. The integrity of the stitching and overall design makes it evident that a lot of care went into creating these jeans. The 12.5s are denim from White Oak and have aged really well (nice fades, awesome color, very comfortable, etc). I bought a pair of Elgin 14.75 oz about a month ago and they are also awesome. Same integrity, same fit and the denim (from Kaihara) has a great color. They were comfortable from the start and are getting better after each wear. Love these jeans. I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I already tell my friends all about these jeans so I figured I’d put it on the Internet too….
Have been buying Tellason jeans for 15 years, exclusively, best fit/quality… and made in USA. The BEST.
The quality of these jeans is second to none! I like the mid rise fit!
I really like the quality and look of these jeans. Initially I thought I’d get them hemmed by the service provided by Tellason, but I decided I like the rolled up look. They look great with my Red Wings.
54, 190, 5'10. I was a boy up when TuffSkins came in slim and husky, and I wasn't either. But these "slims" fit like my 501s except they make me look thinner -- tailored legs taper toward the ankle. Stylish with a sports coat, and comfortable for all day, except maybe not for a day of walking around -- then I'd want more room in the legs. Mid rise means no plumber butt. These feel "dress up" and stylish, and are world's above my 501s in terms of their feel on my body.
