I'm only reviewing these after wearing every day for one week, so the jury is out until I've worn these a lot more. But so far so good. I already had one pair of John Graham Mellor and one pair of Ladbroke Grove, both about 4 years old and looking beautifully aged, but a bit too casual for some settings. So I wanted a new, clean pair of black jeans, and decided to try the Elgin for the more "dressy" look of the mid rise. The fit is exactly what I hoped for. I'm 6'7" and 33" waist, I roll the cuffs once for a perfect length. The leg width is just perfect, not too slim not too wide, looks good with sneakers or boots. Looking forward to wearing these in!
This is my third pair of Tellason pants. As always p, the quality is unsurpassed, the price point is competitive, and you gotta love that Made in USA label. At the risk of contradicting myself, I also have to say that IMO Kaihara denim rocks, and I’ll take it over Cone Mills any day. I decided to try out the Elgin cut because I wanted something that would read a little bit dressier than my pair of Ankara’s. No regrets there: the pants look great. Full stop. The fit is where the “but” comes in: the mid-rise and the slim cut are great, BUT the taper gets a little too skinny around my calves (and I’m a skinny guy) and makes pulling the jeans on/off a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless, consider the source: I’m an older guy who grew up on shrink-to-fit 501’s. Younger lads are likely to have a more indulgent view of the taper. Cheers.
Beautifully made. Look & feel incredible! My 4th pair of Tellasons
As with all Tellason jeans these are very well made, stylish, great products. They are a little more baggy from the knee down that I thought they’d be. I’m used to the Gustaves so when I saw slim tapered I thought they’d be similar. They have a very different look tbh. Still, really nice jeans.
I was in the market for a new pair of black denim and stumbled upon Tellason. Super stoked on these! I’ve been wearing them every day since I got them, at first they were tight (as expected) but they are stretching out nicely with every wear. HIGHLY recommend this denim. Shipping process was quick and transparent. Loved the hand written note too. Go Padres and Giants ;)
I'm a big guy. 6'4" - 220 lbs. I have been searching for a perfect cut for so many years. Trying many different brands. Most raw denim ends up with the waist and thigh a smidge too tight, the legs way to baggy. The search continued and then I found these. I thought it was impossible. And yet here they are! This Elgin is what I have been searching for. Tailor made for me. Unreal. Extremely comfortable, but not baggy in the legs. Just a really nice cut. My wife's reaction when I put them on was "wow, those look great." High praise. Just wanted to drop a line to say thank you. I am so excited to finally find some go-to denim. Ordered another pair about 20 minutes after trying them on. Great cut using high quality denim from a high quality brand.
