It's all been said. Very well made Jacket. I just love it and wanna grow old in it!
I had been eyeing the Tellason deck jacket for some time, but had some hesitations about sizing. Now that I've got it I'm very happy with it, but there a few minor things I'd tweak if I could. The size charts (specifically the chest measurements) had me thinking that I needed to go down from my normal Tellason XL shirt size. I ended up ordering the XL and it's perfect. Go by that more than the numbers due to the insulation. I used to live in the upper midwest and had repro deck jacket with alpaca lining. I currently live in the Southeast and that's just overkill. I love the deck jacket look, but I needed something less extreme that I could use more often. The Tellason deck jacket fits that need perfectly. +/- less extreme warmth than other deck jackets (whether that's a + or - depends on where you live. +oversized, double sided YKK zipper +great fit +inner storm cuffs in sleeve -pocket bags are identical to Tellason jeans. They're super sturdy, but on a winter jacket I'd have preferred some kind of softer lining -I wish the collar was a little larger, and more in line with a typical deck jacket. When you flip it up there's a gap at the front of the collar that I don't love
This is a jacket that'll last me a lifetime. Superbly made, excellent silhouette, and as always, top notch materials. I'm 6'1", 215 lbs, and as has been the usual, L fits perfectly. Way to be, Team Tellason.
I've been eyeing off the N1 jacket for over a year and finally had the $ to pull the trigger. As always Tellason's shipping is fantastic, delivered to Australia in a week. My first impression of the jacket is that it's a thoughtful interpretation of the N1 style and is beautifully constructed. I'd say this is going to last for many years. I've bought Tellason Jeans and denim jackets over the years and they get better with age, so I'm sure the N1 will be similar. The only downside is that we are entering Spring in Sydney so I might have to wait until Autumn to be able to wear it regularly. I've worn it a few times on my motorcycle commute to work and it's warm. The internal cuffs also do a fantastic job of blocking the wind from going up the sleeve. The large internal pocket is also a great design element. It would be great if the lining was real wool, but I appreciate that would significantly add to the cost.
Fit and finish are best in class. Great cut, roomy enough for my middle aged weight. Love the zipper / button combo. Can’t say enough good things about it. Great
Nice jacket, sturdy denim material and nice warm shearling inside. Huge inside pocket and nice hand warmer pocket outside.
Like all Tellason clothing I have received, the quality, fit and finish is SUPERB! Body shape (Fit) 5'8 200 lbs XL fit best, with room for a heavy flannel.
Tough, warm coat suitable for fall, mild winter, spring. Incredible build quality. I’m 5’10” 180 lbs. The medium fits in a nicely tailored fashion.
I’ve bought several jeans and jackets from Tellason and their quality is always outstanding, but this is the best of the bunch. The fabric is beautiful, heavy but with a fine, tight weave and a subtle shade of black. The Sherpa lining is also a great color and feel. Buttons are heavy and solid too. It’s made to last. The fit is more classic than modern, with a cropped length and wide body. I’m 180lbs and 5’11”. I originally got a medium but with the heavy fabric and fit, it felt too constraining and I didn’t love the look. I returned it for a large and loved it. I got compliments the first time I wore it out. If you google old pictures of this style you’ll see it a meant to be worn a bit big, or at least to me it feels better that way. It definitely needs some breaking in and I’m still early in the process. But it makes me smile every time I put it on. :)
