If you are a heavy denim lover, here you go.  Our Ankara straight leg fit cut in a burly 18 oz. Japanese selvedge denim.  Cut and sewn in San Francisco.

A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

I cannot think of a time when I was not driven to customize and personalize my gear. I was a fairly shy kid but was driven to stand out somehow, someway. My beach cruiser was one of my first real stabs at a custom machine.

I stripped it down, took the old paint off with a flat metal file (took forever and was 100% unnecessary - could have just used a primer) and sprayed it white. No one I knew had a white bike and that was enough to go with white. Bye-bye cruiser handlebars and beach pedals. Hello royal blue alloy BMX crossbar handlebars and matching spiked pedals. I finished it with some white wall tires and set off riding wheelies looking for some props.

I bring this one up since we all have various levels of standing out in a crowd. Our wish is that you get a good fitting pair of Tellason jeans and start your denim life in them. No TLC here, just get on with a rigorous life and let the jeans fade, get marked up and workout whatever you send their way. In the end, you will become attached to them, just like you did with your old bike or skateboard.

The Ankara mid-rise straight leg jean is a perfect template for most anyone. Tony found an 18 oz. Kuroki selvedge denim that we cut in this exact fit. This fabric is most definitely on the heavy side. But what you get with that is some real durability. And way, way down the road, you will see the beautiful wear patterns take shape that will be all your own.

    Been wearing Tellason jeans for many years and they are the Real Deal, better than Levi’s were in their prime 50 years ago. Just received the 18oz unwashed version and they look to be bullet proof, expect I’ll never wear them out.

    I have discovered Tellason jeans in a boutique located in Provence in France, I felt in love with the great quality of this original American made jeans with a beautiful Japanese denim. The boutique didn’t have my size so I ordered my pair of jeans through the Tellason web shop. I have received my Ankara here in France few days later directly from California with a nice hand written card from Steve. Merci beaucoup guys I love my jeans so much. I will order others very soon.     Real denim feels so good. Excellent craftsmanship. Fits well. True to size. I feel invincible in these and will be purchasing another. I highly recommend. Not too slim, and not too wide.

    It’s my first time trying Tellason jeans. I went with the Ankara 18oz straight leg. So far so good. The cut fits well. I’ll need to break them in and see how this jean. Hope Tellason will do the same cut but a boot-cut version down the road.
