1st time getting a pair of selvedge jeans, winged it on a size 32 (usually am a size 32) and it was tight at first but quickly gave a little wiggle room at the waist and hip area. Weight is delightful, not heavy feeling at all. Ample pant leg length for hemming, invites cuffing. Extremely glad to have this pair in rotation and like others mention, it is such a pleasant pair to wear, really want to keep it on to add more wear and break in.

These are my first pair of 18oz jeans and my second pair of Tellasons and they are starting to become my favorite. I really enjoy the room throughout the whole leg, letting me move about easily and even squat no problem. I wasn’t too sure if the weight of the denim would make them take longer to break in but they felt so comfortable from the get go that I throw them on as soon as I get home from work and take em off just before getting in to bed.
I usually wear pants with a 34-inch waist and I'm 6 feet tall. When I first put them on without washing, they felt a bit tight and I thought I might need to size up. But after washing them once and wearing them for a while, they fit comfortably and feel like my usual 34-inch jeans. The classic straight cut and solid stitching stand out. The thread colors are perfectly varied, showing the attention to detail. I had never worn 18oz jeans before, so I was curious about how they would feel. Instead of feeling heavy, they offer a sturdy and substantial quality, making them truly well-made. The patch is incredibly stylish! The hidden red tab is a delightful touch for enthusiasts. If you're hesitating, you just have to buy them. These jeans are top-notch.
I have to review two aspects of these jeans, the fist being the insanely high quality and craftsmanship. They are perfectly made, true to size, and a true straight leg. It is easy to see right out of the box how well they are going to fade in over time. I've had other jeans in this weight, but these move differently and, while rigid when new of course, the softness to them is there. Truly impressive. The second thing to address is the incredible customer service from Tellason. Second to none. I would not hesitate to order from them again and again. A truly impressive company with top tier products. Bravo.
I took a chance on the 18 oz Ankara and I am not at all disappointed. The cut for me is the best -- i love the fit on the waist and the legs. I'm 6'3 210 and am surprised how much I like the fit in 35" over the pair of Elgins i have. I won't be taking these off anytime soon. I did a warm wash & dry as soon as I got them and they fit like a glove. Thanks guys!
These fit well and the 18oz denim is super thick. Do they feel like walking in cardboard when you first wear them? Yes. BUt after two days wear they started to soften up. I'm pretty sure this pair of jeans will last 3-4 times as long as a pair of Levi 501's. The value is there, and the jeans look and feel better. So yeah. I'm happy.
My second pair of Tellason jeans and they are perfect! The fit and quality are second to none. I've tried a few different selvage companies but none have delivered a solid as Tellason has! Thank you for making high quality jeans at a good price!
Heaviest fabric I’ve ever had in any kind of pants. Same quality construction - excellent. These guys do such a great job. The sales and items of the week are appreciated too. Looking forward to wearing these in.
