My youth was consumed by skateboarding, ramp building, hassling my older sister, and plenty of pencil fighting. I just asked our intern, Sam, if he ever did any pencil fighting with his friends and he asked if that means to go after your friends with a sharpened pencil to wreak some havoc. My answer was "no", thankfully. Pencil fighting was the act of one person holding a pencil on each end, while the other person tried their best to snap that pencil with a pop from your own, using that metal eraser holder as the business end. Tony and I just tried to have a go at it, without success. Tony's comment was that pencils are made stronger than they used to be.
Our Topper shirt would have been a fine choice to show up to this childhood duel since it has a pronounced pencil holder on the right side. It would have been a smooth move to maintain eye contact with my opponent as I reached over for my chosen lumber with a little spaghetti western music playing in the background.
This denim shirt of ours is the first shirt we made 14 years ago and remains our pride and joy. Here we have it in a beautiful 9 oz. denim from Japan and cut and sewn in San Francisco, just like the rest of our goods. It has a bit of western design to it, as well as some classic utilitarian pocketing. We are stocked up and happy to offer this classic of ours as our "Item of the Week" Yours this week with a 20% discount.
Enjoy and thanks for your support,
